Our team from Mansa General Hospital Dr Munthali, Dr Mulenga and Dr Kapungwe was at Yangeni Radio raising awareness about breast cancer and, most importantly, what everyone should know.

Breast cancer can affect anyone. Knowing your body, recognising unusual changes early, and seeking medical attention when something doesnโ€™t feel right can make a difference.

Today, more than ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ ๐š๐ญ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐š ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ came together for an important orientation on ๐€๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ญ๐ž๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ (๐€๐Œ๐’) and the growing challenge of
๐€๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž (๐€๐Œ๐‘).

The session brought together healthcare workers from different areas of the hospital, including ๐œ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š๐ง๐ฌ, ๐ง๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ฉ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐œ๐ฒ, ๐ฅ๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ.

Together, we explored why antimicrobials need to be used responsibly, the importance of infection prevention, the ๐–๐‡๐Ž ๐€๐–๐š๐‘๐ž ๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, and how each healthcare worker can play a role in preventing antimicrobial resistance.

AMR is a growing health challenge, but the response starts with the actions we take every day, right here at the point of care.

With deep sorrow, Management and Staff of Mansa General Hospital announce the passing of our beloved Mrs. Pamela Makashini Kalipenta on 29th September, 2026.

Mrs. Kalipenta was a cherished Midwife, Sister, Friend, Mother and dedicated member of the Mansa General Hospital family.

She will be put to rest today, Friday 2nd October, 2026:

All staff, friends and sympathizers are requested to join the family in mourning and to give our colleague a dignified send-off.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
