REBIRTH OF A NEW CONSTITUENCY IN MPIKA, A HERO UNSUNG.

Let me take take this opportunity to single out one selfless leader whose relentless pursuit for continued development silently contributed immensely to the rebirth of a new constituency in Mpika. He used his wisdom, experience and dialogue approach to add an important voice to numerous voices that we all echoed in our efforts to see another constituency reborn in Mpika. He targeted the right people with precision and presented his case with undeniably powerful reasons as to why we should have another constituency again.

Thank you Honourable Mwimba Malama
for putting politics aside so as to advance an agenda that is about a greater good of society. Thank you once again for making your relevance to the advancement of humanity available when we needed it most. God richly bless you!

Looking at the political landscape today and where power lies, yes we needed a sincere and powerful voice that would find it's way into the right people and into key institutions of decision making. This has taught me one thing and which I would selflessly share to those seeking political offices that with a proper approach even an opposition voice can be heard. It is the same with lobbying for development, not everything should be on camera or on social media until the desired results are attained or achieved. Being in opposition is not a call for endless and unproductive fights. However, in the midst of challenges, there is need to put our egos secondary and a common good of the community primary.

I will be failing in my commitment to patriotism to Zambia as my only home if I can't commend the Republican President, Mr Hakainde Hichilema for displaying unconditional and selfless leadership by listening to our humble voices and looking into our plight as residents of Mpika and the nation as a whole. People were made to believe that, you would manipulate the delimitation process in favour of the United Party For National Development's strongholds but you allowed every genuine and sincere voice to be heard and in the real end, the Electoral Commission of Zambia delivered a largely fair delimitation exercise.

And to all of us who fought and contributed publicly and added voices to calls for a new constituency, I say job well done, your patriotism can not go unappreciated.

Thank you!

Kwaela M Mwanza writes!

WE ARE READY, SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY FOR YOUR GAME!

Mpika and indeed other rural constituencies urgently need aspiring Members of Parliament that doesn't only understand our problems but those with practical alternative ways to transform our societies. We have witnessed and followed MPs who have managed to bring development even under the opposition party ticket, MPs who understood how development is lobbied and not used to score political goals. If a confrontational approach to bringing development can't work at a particular season and under a particular regime, why not apply a more workable approach that puts everyone on board as opposed to a one-man-show that results in nothing but only empty talk, blame game and self praise.

The problem I have with these aspiring candidates is that they promise too much, even things that they will not have authority to dictate or direct, like the release of funds for capital projects. An MP can have all the desire to work on projects but with which money? Funds for capital projects are not accessed like the way one accesses his/her salary and spend it as one wishes, it is a process that require being tactical, wise and knowledgeable on procedures and responsible persons to engage.

Lies shouldn't be the order of the day for politicians, so don't just remind us about our problems, we all know them, but who we are looking for are men and women with workable solutions, well laid down and simply explained developmental agenda. We are not going to vote for who have a lot of bad stuff to say about other opponents but rather one that will have the much needed know-how on how to bring development.

Fellow constituents, please listen to these people attentively, analyse every word that they will produce and separate lies from substance. We all know how CDF is utilized, how it is shared amongst words and community involvement in the process. Anyone wanting to be MP with a CDF package as his/her solely job to offer for the constituency is a joker for it is too small to reduce on our burdens.

We shall meet you Ba Punka pa ground, we shall be there to open our people's eyes for them to see through your lies! You can use your wealth all you wish, to manipulate the people, we, on the other hand shall use our determination and mob strength to fight for a better Mpika by putting in a leadership that will deliver meaningful development.

I remain Kwaela Mwanza,
Grassroots Campaign Strategist and Development Activist.

Mind the way you treat your wife or fiance while she is on your sponsorship because her frustrations which is as a result of your ill-treatment is just a time bomb waiting to explode once she is on her own two feet. Don't paint her to be a ungrateful partner, just blaim yourself.
