ECZ TRAINS AND DEPLOYS 24 VOTER EDUCATION FACILITATORS ACROSS MPOROKOSO DISTRICT

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) in Mporokoso District has successfully concluded the deployment of twenty-four (24) Voter Education Facilitators (VEFs) across all twelve (12) wards in preparation for the forthcoming 13th August 2026 General Elections.

The deployment exercise, which commenced on Saturday, 30th May 2026, was completed today following a comprehensive five-day training programme conducted by the Commission. During the training, participants underwent a written assessment to evaluate their understanding of voter education content and electoral procedures. Only candidates who successfully met the required standards were selected for deployment.

The trained facilitators will now spearhead voter education activities in all the twelve (12) wards, beginning tomorrow 1st June 2026 ensuring that citizens have access to accurate, impartial, and timely electoral information to enable them to participate effectively in the electoral process.

This initiative reaffirms the ECZ’s commitment to delivering inclusive voter education and strengthening democratic participation at the grassroots level as the nation prepares for the 2026 General Elections.

MPOROKOSO DISTRICT COMMENCES FIVE-DAY VOTER EDUCATION FACILITATORS TRAINING

MPOROKOSO – 25TH MAY 2026

Highlights of the commencement of the five-day Voter Education training for Voter Education Facilitators in Mporokoso District.

The training has brought together Voter Education Facilitators who will play a key role in disseminating voter education messages ahead of the forthcoming General Elections . The programme aims at equipping facilitators with knowledge and skills on voter education delivery, electoral processes, and civic participation.

The training was officially opened by district District Electoral Officer (DEO) Mr. Henry Siwakwi. facilitators are expected to undergo intensive sessions throughout the five-day programme.
