Did you know that Mufumbwe district is one of the districts in Northwestern Province with the highest inflation?
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is higher than that of Chavuma, Zambezi, Kabompo, Manyinga, Kasempa, Mwinilunga and Ikeleng'i districts and only second to Solwezi.
The other districts are far away from the industrial region of the Copperbelt Province where much of the goods are produced.
However, most commodities are cheaper as compared to our district which is nearer.
The reason is simple;
The cost of living is high because of lack of competition among the local entrepreneurs and the provision of goods and services is secondary. There are no primary producers that is capacity built to capitalize on the growing demand of both consumable and non-consumable products.
Industrialization, value addition and idealism are key to the realization of socioeconomic development of Mufumbwe district.
LET'S UNITE.!
