Zambia Flying Doctor Service is a Statutory Board established in 1967 by an Act Parliament.
Zambia Flying Doctor Service is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to be considered for the following positions: -
1. CHIEF PILOT (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with a minimum of 5,000 Total Flight hours and not less than 2,500 hours as Pilot in Command
• Five (5) years work experience as Pilot in Command
• Type Rating on the Cessna 208B Caravan
• Instrument Rating on the Cessna 208B Caravan
• Type Rating Examiner and Instrument Rating Examiner will be added advantage
• Level 6 Language Proficiency Certificate
• Able to Communicate effectively in English
• Able to write analytical and technical reports
• Computer literate
2. PILOT (2 POSITIONS) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Type Rating on the Cessna 208B Caravan
Instrument Rating on the Cessna 208B Caravan
Minimum of 300 Flight Hours
Minimum of 100 Flight Hours on Type
Level 6 Language Proficiency Certificate
Able to Communicate effectively in English
Able to write Comprehensive Reports
Computer literate
3. MEDICAL OFFICER (2 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBCHB)
Registered with Health Professional Council of Zambia Valid Practicing License
Two (2) years Work Experience
Ability to produce medical reports
Ability to Communicate in English and at least one Local Language
Computer literate
4. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or its equivalent
Airframes and Engines (A and C) License
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
Two (2) years Work Experience
Able to write Comprehensive Reports
Able to Communicate effectively in English
Computer literate
5. LEGAL OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
University degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University
Must be an advocate of High Court of Zambia
Member of the Law Association of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
Three (3) years work experience in litigation and commercial transactions
Able to write analytical and technical reports
Able to Communicate effectively in English
Computer literate
6. SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Human Resources Management /Public Administration
Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with Valid Practicing License
Three (3) years Work Experience
Able to write Analytical and Technical Reports
Able to Communicate Effectively in English
Computer literate
7. PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Purchasing and Supplies or Full CIPS
Five (5) years Work Experience in a similar role
Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply with a Valid Practicing License
Experience with the Electronic Government Procurement System (eGP)
Able to write Analytical and Technical Reports
Able to Communicate Effectively in English
Computer literate
8. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Business Administration / Marketing or equivalent
Three (3) years Work Experience in a similar role
Able to write Analytical and Technical Reports
Able to Communicate Effectively in English
Computer literate
9. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in information Technology
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
Two (2) years Work Experience
Able to write Analytical and Technical Reports
Able to Communicate effectively in English
10. MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/CIMA/ZICS Professional
Member of the Zambia Chartered of Accountant (ZICA) with Valid Practicing License
Three (3) years Work Experience
Able to write Analytical and Technical Reports
Able to Communicate effectively in English
Computer literate
11. PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Diploma in Pharmacy
Two (2) years Work Experience
Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
Ability to Communicate in English and at least one Local Language
Able to write Comprehensive Reports
Computer literate
12. LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (1 POSITION) Requirements:
Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
Diploma in Bio Medical Science
Two (2) years Work Experience
Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
Ability to Communicate in English and at least one Local Language
Able to write Comprehensive Reports
Computer literate
13. OPHTHALMIC CLINICAL OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma in Clinical Health Sciences;
• Diploma in Ophthalmology or equivalent.
• Two (2) years Work Experience
• Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
• Ability to Communicate in English and at least one Local Language
• Able to write Comprehensive Reports
• Computer literate
14. PARAMEDIC (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma In Emergency Medical Care or equivalent
• Two (2) years Work Experience
• Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
• Ability to Communicate in English and at least one Local Language
• Able to write Comprehensive Reports
• Computer literate
15. CRITICAL CARE NURSE (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Advanced Diploma in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent
• Two (2) years Work Experience
• Member of General Nursing Council of Zambia with Valid Practicing License
• Ability to Communicate in English and at least one Local Language
• Able to write Comprehensive Reports
• Computer literate
16. PERSONAL SECRETARY (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma in Secretarial with typing and Short Hand 120/65 words per minute (WPM)
• Member of the Professional Secretaries of Zambia Association (PSZA) with Valid Practicing License
• Two (2) years Work Experience
• Able to Communicate effectively in English
• Proficient Computer Skills
17. FLIGHT OPERATIONS OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate from a recognised Institution
• Two (2) years of experience in Aircraft Dispatch
• Able to write Analytical and Technical Reports
• Able to Communicate effectively in English
• Computer literate
18. FLIGHT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate from a recognised Institution
• Able to write Comprehensive Reports
• Able to Communicate effectively in English
• Computer literate
19. REGISTRY OFFICER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma in Records Management or equivalent
• Two (2) years Work Experience in a similar role
• Able to write Comprehensive Reports
• Able to Communicate effectively in English
• Computer literate
20. CUSTOMER SERVICES ASSISTANTS (2 POSITIONS) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Diploma in Business Administration or its equivalent
• Two (2) years Work Experience in a communication / call centre
• Excellent Phone Etiquette
• Outstanding Communication Skills both Oral and Written
• Able to write Reports
• Proficient Computer Skills
21. TECHNICAL RECORDS CLERK (1 POSITIONS) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Certificate in Records Management
• Two (2) years Work Experience in a similar role
• Able to write Reports
• Computer literate
22. TECHNICAL STORES CLERK (1 POSITIONS) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Certificate in Stores Management
• Membership of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
• Two (2) years Work Experience in a similar role
• Able to write Reports
• Computer literate
23. MEDICAL RECORDS CLERK (1 POSITIONS) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• Certificate in Records Management
• Two (2) years Work Experience in a similar role
• Able to write Reports

24. HANGAR CLEANER (1 POSITION) Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
