Senanga Town Council proudly celebrates Victoria Chibawe, one of our inspiring young professionals who is making a meaningful impact in the legal field. She shared that her journey to becoming a lawyer was inspired by her mother, whose passion for justice and advocacy for children motivated her from a young age.

As she grew older, Victoria became more aware of injustices around her, including bullying at school and children being neglected in the community. These experiences strengthened her determination to pursue a career in law and to help people understand and protect their rights.

Today, she proudly serves as Senanga Town Council Senior Legal Assistant. Her message to fellow youths is simple yet powerful: never give up on your dreams, because pursuing what you love can lead to a truly fulfilling purpose. 👏

⚠️ PUBLIC NOTICE – BEWARE OF FRAUDSTER

Senanga Town Council wishes to inform members of the public that the phone number 0973559840 belongs to an individual impersonating the Council Secretary, Mr. Gift Mweetwa.

The said individual is falsely claiming to recruit people as Data Entry Clerks and demanding payment for recruitment.

The Council would like to make it very clear that Mr. Gift Mweetwa has NOT authorized anyone to recruit on his behalf, and Senanga Town Council does not charge any fees for employment or recruitment opportunities.

Members of the public are therefore strongly advised not to send money or share personal information with the individual using this number.

Anyone who receives such messages or calls is encouraged to report the matter to the nearest police station or contact Senanga Town Council directly for verification.

Senanga District has today held a briefing for Inspection Officers in readiness for the upcoming Inspection of the Provisional Register of Voters.

During the meeting, officers were taken through the procedures for conducting both online and physical inspections. The session also covered the handling of printed registers and the use of Biometric Voter Registration Kits to facilitate eligible updates, including corrections of details, transfers, and replacement of voter cards. Officers were clearly informed that no new voter registrations will take place during the inspection period.

The importance of professionalism, integrity, and impartiality was strongly emphasized as officers prepare to carry out their responsibilities. The District Registration Office has expressed confidence that the officers are adequately prepared to deliver a smooth, transparent, and credible inspection process.
