Today 24/04/2025 Ingutsheni Central Hospital was privileged to be visited by a delegation from the Health Services Commission led by 3 commissioners namely Commissioners G Gwinji, J Mwakutuya and M Gwaunza.

After a brief overview and report by Ingutsheni Chief Medical Officer Dr N Mawere the delegation had a discussion session with heads of the various departments of the institution.

The visitors were then taken on a tour of the institution which covered the horticultural project, poultry and rabbit farming projects. A visit to Khumalo ward, the male acute admission ward followed where interactions with nursing staff and patients took place.

The visit concluded with interactions with representatives of all levels of staff where various requests , questions and problems were tabled and discussed with responses from the HSC delegation. Ingutsheni greatly appreciates the visit.

Highlights in pictures of the ministerial visit to Ingutsheni Central Hospital by the Honourable Minister of Health and Child Care Dr Douglas Mombeshora on the 11th of December 2024. Accompanying the minister were the Deputy Minister and an entourage from Ministry of Health Head Office. During the visit the Hon minister visited Khumalo ward which is the male acute admission ward, taking note of the constraints and challenges being experienced. The tour included visits to the hospital`s horticultural project and poultry project that are being used to provide improved nutrition for patients and aid in income generation for the hospital.

Highlights in pictures of the World Mental Health Awareness celebration held today by Ingutsheni Central Hospital. The program kicked off with a march from Donnington industrial area through to Ingutsheni Hospital where festivities carried on with presentations and exciting entertainment from various speakers and group. Our appreciation goes out to everyone who made this day a success. This includes Proton Bakeries, the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Bulawayo Polytechnic, Henry Low primary school, the Friendship bench among other valued partners. We greatly appreciate or members of staff from Ingutsheni as well as our retired but definitely not tired nurses who made the event a truly great one!

Ingutsheni Central Hospital commemorates World Mental Health Day!....

On the 27th of August 2024 Ingutsheni Central Hospital received a timely shot in the arm after receiving a donation of 38 blankets from Bossolona (UK). We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation which will provide comfort for the vulnerable patients under our care.

The well co-ordinated National Clean up campaign and Quality Improvement programme has seen the Hospital getting 2nd prize in the Best of Quality Improvement Team nationally 2023.
