CAR FIRE SAFETY: USE THE PASS METHOD 🔥

Car fire? Stay calm and act fast, but only if it’s safe to do so.

🧯 Remember PASS:

P – Pull the pin to unlock the extinguisher.

A – Aim at the base of the fire (for car fires, slightly open the bonnet and direct the nozzle inside).

S – Squeeze the handle to release the extinguishing agent.

S – Sweep from side to side until the fire is out.

🚨 Important: Before you start

Stop the car immediately and switch off the engine✔
Evacuate everyone and move a safe distance away✔
Only attempt to fight the fire if it is small and manageable✔
Never fully open the bonnet/hood (it feeds oxygen and can worsen the fire)✔
If the fire grows, move away and call emergency services✔
