The Department of Civil Protection has organized a joint workshop on Lessons Learnt from the El Nino induced drought responses. In attendance are Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as development partners. The 2 day workshop started on 30 June 2025 - 1 July 2025

Today the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Hon D. Garwe handed over a batch of 35 fire tenders to 31 Rural District Councils and 4 Urban Local Authorities. The move will strengthen local authorities' capacity in fire management within their jurisdictions.
