Zimbabwe Staff College is hosting Culture Month Commemorations at Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks formerly KG 6 today.
Indhlamu – a warriors dance that crossed borders and found a new heartbeat in Zimbabwe.
Originally from South Africa, it was modernized in Zimbabwe and became a staple in the Mzingwane district, around Esigodini.
Did you know? The famous Jerusarema dance was originally called Mbende—a fertility dance. When missionaries tried to ban it for being “unGodly,” the name was changed to Jerusarema (Jerusalem) to help preserve it.
A powerful reminder of how our ancestors protected their culture.

Harare Province Culture Month Celebrations in Pictures: In attendance was the Guest of Honour, Hon Senator CZ Tavengwa, Chief Chinamhora, NACZ CEO , Mr N Nyanhi among other guests.
The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province , Hon Senator Charles Zvidzayi Tawengwa , urged youths to desist from drug and substance abuse during his address in Hatcliffe where he is the Guest of Honour at the ongoing Culture Month Provincial Celebrations.

Veteran production designer and filming guru Josh Changa has been laid to rest at Zororo Cemetery in Harare. His immense contribution to Zimbabwe’s film and creative industry will never be forgotten.
In attendance to honour his legacy were National Arts Council of Zimbabwe CEO, Mr. Napoleon Nyanhi, and the Deputy Director for Communications & Advocacy, Mr. A. Nyabinde.
The family has expressed deep gratitude to friends and colleagues in the creative sector for the unwavering love and support shown to Josh, from the days his health began to decline, all the way to his final moments.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
