Rural Electrification Agency is a statutory body governed by the Rural Electrification Fund Act.

Post-independence Zimbabwean Government gave high priority to rural infrastructure development programmes, which included the rural electrification programme. Our Vision
To promote the development of Rural Zimbabwe by economically empowering communities to transform their livelihoodS through the provision of electricity in all its diverse forms (grid and renewable energy)
