𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐓& 𝐄𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋, 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋& 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 (𝐄𝐒𝐆) 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐏

The Urban Development Corporation (UDCORP) successfully held the Internal Audit and ESG Reporting Workshop from 1-2 September 2026 at Cresta Jameson Harare.

The workshop was held under the theme "𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐄𝐒𝐆) 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞,".

It explored the evolving role of internal audit in driving good governance and risk management, examined ESG frameworks and their impact on business value and resilience, and shared best practices for integrating ESG into audit plans and corporate strategy.

We thank all participants, facilitators, and partners who contributed to the success of this engagement, and we look forward to building on these insights as we continue supporting stronger governance and sustainability practices across the country.

𝐔𝐃𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏 𝐀𝐓 𝐙𝐈𝐌𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖 (𝐙𝐀𝐒) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
The Urban Development Corporation (UDCORP) extends its appreciation to all delegates, partners, stakeholders, and visitors who engaged with us during the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS).
The exhibition provided an important platform to connect, exchange ideas, showcase our strategic initiatives, and engage stakeholders on the future of sustainable urban infrastructure and national development.

A key highlight of the exhibition was the strategic introduction of two new operational units established to strengthen project ex*****on, enhance institutional efficiency, and reinforce UDCORP’s commitment to service excellence.

1. The UDCORP Construction Unit focused on construction services (housing and bulky infrastructure), consultancy services, project ex*****on and management nationwide.

2. Centre of Service Delivery Excellence functions as a professional training, advisory, research and improvement hub, supporting a broad spectrum of stakeholders within the urban development ecosystem.

The engagements and valuable insights shared throughout ZAS 2026 will continue to inform and strengthen UDCORP’s operational strategies as we work towards accelerating sustainable urban development and advancing national infrastructure delivery.

We remain committed to building stronger partnerships, delivering quality infrastructure, and creating sustainable human settlements that contribute meaningfully to Zimbabwe’s development agenda.

From the 1st to the 2nd of September 2026, UDCORP will convene leaders from government ministries, MDAs, internal auditors, and audit committee members from the public sector, NGOs and development agencies for a pivotal dialogue on how internal audit and ESG frameworks can drive accountability, sustainability, and transformation in both rural and urban development.
This workshop offers a platform to strengthen governance and explore innovative approaches to building resilient communities.

UDCORP will conduct a three-day workshop, "Finance for Spatial Development Professionals," from the 18–20 August 2026. The programme will equip participants with practical tools for interpreting financial data, costing and pricing projects accurately, managing risk, and structuring development initiatives that are sustainable and reinforced through local case studies.
This programme is designed for professionals across the built environment sector , including spatial planners, architects and urban designers, engineers, project and construction managers, land surveyors, and quantity surveyors
