Join us as we celebrate 170 years of the Ballarat Fire Brigade and 50 years of Rescue operations!

Bring the whole family along for a fantastic day of fun, learning, and community connection. Get up close to our firefighting and rescue vehicles, meet local CFA volunteers, and witness an exciting Road Crash Rescue Demonstration showcasing the skills and teamwork used in real-life emergencies.

Last night we were joined by Glen Park Fire Brigade for our weekly training.
Crews undertook training in grass fire tactics, hand tools (Rakehoes), dry firefighting, hazardous tree identification, burn over drills, radio communications, portable lighting set up and teamwork.

We would like to thank the members from Glen Park Brigade who gave up their Monday night and brought their tanker and ultralight tanker in.

On Saturday 31st October from 5.30pm–8.30pm, the iconic Ballarat Fire Station is transforming into a haunted haven!

One of the oldest fire brigades in the southern hemisphere still on it's original location is sure to have more than a few skeletons in the closet. Only the bravest should dare to come and enjoy:

🚒 Truck tours
💀 Spooky surprises lurking around every corner
😱 And who knows what fiery spirits are likely to be in watching it all unfold from the watch tower? 🔥👻🔥

This gave members a chance to fine tune their map reading skills, crew leading abilities and general fireground practices.

Today's the day! The Ballarat Fire Brigade team is stepping up to conquer 28 floors in full 25kg gear at the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb right now.
