On Thursday 11th June Aberdoon held their Annual Biggest Morning Tea. Thankyou to all the Carers, Participants and dedicated staff who made it possible. We raised over $500 for Cancer Council. A beautiful morning tea, spent relaxing on the verandah. A time to reflect and catch up.

Sanding, repairing, painting! Patrick and Liam are restoring a set of chairs that will be on display at the Annual Art Exhibition later this year.

They're part of the Makers Studio program at Aberdoon House, and every week they head over to the Mates Shed at The Secret Garden Community Hub to work on their project.

It's hands-on, it's focused, and there's always a playlist going. When it was time to pack up last week, they weren't ready to stop. They were in the zone. 💛

What can you make in a day? Quite a lot, as it turns out.

At the Homemaker's Earthworks Workshop, you'll spend a full Saturday learning the basics of earth building - preparing the mix, making mudbricks, and putting up simple wall sections you've built with your own hands. It all happens at The Secret Garden Community Hub , surrounded by real earth buildings made the same way.

No experience needed. Wear clothes you can get muddy, and we'll sort the tea and lunch. Led by EBAA architect Ray Trappel.
