🎃 Halloween brings plenty of scares, but exotic pests and diseases are a real threat to Australia’s vegetable industry.

Strong on-farm biosecurity helps protect crops, farm businesses, and market access by reducing the risk of pests and diseases entering and spreading across farms.

🛡️ The AUSVEG Farm Biosecurity Manual provides practical information and tools to help growers identify risks, develop a tailored biosecurity plan, and strengthen everyday practices.

The Farm Biosecurity Manual is part of the AUSVEG Farm Biosecurity and VegWatch programs. VegWatch is funded by Hort Innovation using the vegetable research and development levy and contributions from the Australian Government.

Under Australian Work Health and Safety laws, employers have a duty to protect physical and psychological health. Understanding psychosocial hazards helps employers proactively eliminate risks, meet regulatory obligations, and foster safe, productive workplaces.

In response to grower feedback, AUSVEG is hosting this webinar on psychosocial safety in the workplace. Delivered in partnership with WHS expert Paul Trepte from the Australian Industry Group, the webinar will support general understanding as well as awareness of industry-specific hazards.

We welcome attendees from across the industry. Although content will be particularly useful for managers and senior leaders we also encourage non-managerial staff to attend to learn more about workplace considerations that affect everyone.
