Congratulations to all of our students who represented Banksia at the All Schools Touch Football competition over the weekend!
The team got off to an incredible start, winning all of their pool games on the first day of competition. This outstanding performance secured them a place in the top 16 out of 72 competing teams!
Their success earned them a spot in the Championship competition, where teams battled it out in knockout matches to determine the best mixed team in the state. Banksia fought hard throughout the finals, eventually being knocked out in the second round to finish an incredible 5th in Queensland!
This is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the dedication, commitment and hard work these students have shown throughout the year. They should be extremely proud of the way they represented themselves and our school.
A massive thank you must also go to Mr Mac and Mr Ash D**e, who generously volunteered countless hours before, during and after school to train, support and prepare these students for such a challenging competition. Their time, effort and commitment have played a huge role in the team's success.
Congratulations again to everyone involved. What an outstanding achievement for Banksia! 👏🏆
