Delivering a meal takes a few minutes, but the connection lasts much longer.

Catherine Lamb has been volunteering with Ashgrove Meals on Wheels, carrying on a family tradition that started with her dad and Nanna, and now includes her own three kids joining her on school holiday deliveries!

Her reflection is one of many heartfelt memories gathered inside Seasoned with Care, a keepsake book celebrating 70 years of connections across our Queensland community.

Thank you West Brisbane News for acknowledging the wonderful students and staff from Mt St Michael's College and Marist College Ashgrove and the dedicated local environmental community group, Save Our Waterways Now. We are extremely grateful for the tremendous effort they put in to weeding, planting and mulching our gardens at Ashgrove Meals on Wheels. Their hard work has made such a positive difference to our gardens and our surrounds.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to help us — we truly appreciate your support of Ashgrove Meals on Wheels and the wonderful community spirit you have shown.

A local environmental organisation and two Ashgrove schools have come together to give the gardens at Ashgrove Meals on Wheels a fresh start.
