Murweh Shire Council is looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated Labourers to join our Council Operations teams.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 & 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀: mowing, gardening, pruning, landscaping and keeping our parks and public spaces looking great.

𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝗦𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲: assisting crews with maintenance, repairs, pipework and installations.

You’ll need: a current driver’s licence, a good level of fitness, a positive team attitude and a commitment to safety. Relevant experience is desirable.

💧 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐡! 💧

Summer hours are now in place (1 September – 31 March), and we’re at Level 1 – Standard Watering Schedule.

𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲.

On hot afternoons, most of town turns the sprinklers on at the same time. Demand can hit about double the daily average, which is more than our bores and pumps can supply, so pressure drops across town. Splitting watering across odd and even days means everyone keeps good water pressure.

🏡 Odd street numbers: Tue, Thu, Sat
🏡 Even street numbers: Wed, Fri, Sun
⏰ Summer hours: before 9am and after 4pm

✅ Applies to sprinklers, irrigation and unattended hoses on town water in Charleville, Augathella and Morven
✅ Hand watering with an attended hose is OK every day, any time
✅ Properties without a street number are treated as odd
✅ Tank, bore or dam water isn’t covered by the schedule

Need to water outside the schedule? Exemption applications are available on our website.

Water on your days and the whole town keeps its pressure. 🌿
