The NDIS is evolving.

You may have seen discussions about major changes and it’s understandable to have questions.

Here’s what we know

The government is working to make the NDIS more sustainable, which includes:
• Changes to planning and assessments
• Increased structure and oversight
• Updates to how funding is managed

These are important shifts, but they will take time.

> Right now, nothing changes for current participants.
> You can continue using your supports as usual.
>No immediate action is required.

For those new to the NDIS, access and supports are still available, and the process continues as normal.

At Melbourne Quality Care Services, we’re here to support you through every stage-with clear guidance, reliable care, and a focus on what matters most: you.

Care that comes to you.

If you have questions or need support, feel free to reach out on 0448524903

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of attending the Melbourne Show to celebrate one of our participant’s birthdays 🎉

It was a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and memorable experiences shared with other participants. Opportunities like this are so important—not just for celebration, but for building confidence, social connections, and overall wellbeing.

This is what NDIS community participation is all about, supporting individuals to engage in meaningful activities, be part of their community, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Unfortunately, we can’t upload the video here, but make sure to follow us on Instagram where we share lots of reels and highlights from days like this!

First time at the Bunyip Rodeo 🤠🐂

For some of our MQCS crew, it was their very first time seeing real cowboys riding bulls and what an experience it was! From the dust and cheers to the thrill of the ride, it was a day full of excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Nothing like a bit of Aussie country action to bring everyone together! 🇦🇺✨

💙 You Are Not Alone.

Domestic violence can affect anyone, but people with disabilities are at significantly higher risk of experiencing abuse, both in intimate relationships and from carers or family members.

- People with disabilities are more likely to experience domestic and family violence than people without disability
- Women with disabilities are almost twice as likely to experience physical or sexual violence by a partner
-Emotional abuse and controlling behaviour are more common for people with disability
- Many victim-survivors with disabilities do not report abuse because of fear, dependence on carers, or lack of accessible

Abuse can include:

>Physical harm
>Threats, intimidation, or isolation
> Controlling money or decisions
> Withholding medication, mobility aids, or personal care
> Using disability as a way to control or silence someone

If this is happening to you, it is abuse.
