What a milestone! The Class of 2006 came together for their 20 year reunion, filling the room with joy, laughter, and the kind of stories that only old friends can share. A special thank you to Sarah for bringing those school day memories to life and reminding everyone of your school days.✨

As an MLC girl from the Class of 2003, my connection to the school has never really left me. Some of my most meaningful memories come from my time boarding in Tiddeman House during Years 10 to 12 – a time that shaped lifelong friendships and gave me a strong sense of independence, support and community.

MLC has always felt like more than just a place I attended – it’s a community that continues to influence how I approach life and work. After building my career in finance, joining the Old Collegians’ Club as Treasurer feels like a natural way to stay connected and give back.

It’s a privilege to contribute to a community that has played such an important role in my life, and I’m excited to help foster connections between past and present collegians so that the MLC spirit continues to thrive.

Yesterday's Sunday Spotlight brought up some 'cold' memories of the Nicholas Language Centre...but who remembers the freezing Nicholas Wing? It's now the Nicholas Learning Centre, and we're sure it's a little more temperature controlled these days. 😉

Sunday Spotlight - Nicholas House / Home Sciences / Language Centre 🏫

Nicholas House was built in 1926 with funds from Mr George Nicholas – making it MLCs third oldest original buildings. This building housed the Domestic Course, also known as Home Sciences, which included cookery, laundry, housewifery and handicrafts. This was an alternative study option for students who did not want to take matriculation or gain university entrance. Nicholas House is now used as the Language Centre.
