Happy Flashback Friday! ✨

It’s World Teachers’ Day, and what better way to celebrate than by taking a trip down memory lane to remember one of MLC’s most iconic teachers - Mrs Jane Elton Brown!

An Old Collegian herself, Mrs Elton Brown began teaching at MLC in 1960 and went on to become Director of Music in 1971. Over almost four decades, she left an extraordinary impression on generations of MLC students.

From the Gala Concerts and choirs to her famously memorable conducting style, Mrs Elton Brown was certainly a teacher you didn’t forget.

Were you part of the Mrs Elton Brown era? We’d love to hear your memories - share them in the comments below!

A wonderful way to wrap up another year of the MLC OCC Mentoring Program! ✨

Our 2026 mentors and mentees came together for the Mentoring Program Finale, an opportunity to reconnect, reflect on their experiences and celebrate the connections made throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s program, generously sharing their time, knowledge and perspectives along the way.

We hope the connections, lessons and friendships formed throughout the year continue well beyond the program.

Thirty-five years on, the Class of 1991 proved that some friendships never fade. An afternoon filled with laughter and memories, as school friends came together to celebrate their shared MLC memories and make new ones together. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a special celebration. ✨

Sunday Spotlight - Nevile Wing 🏫

Continuing the building boom of the previous decade, in 1961 MLC opened the Nevile Wing. This provided eleven new classrooms and two new science labs. The building was named after Richard Nevile, who was the Chairman of the Executive Council of MLC from 1936-1966.

What are your memories of the Nevile Wing? Let us know below! 👇

Five years of the MLC OCC Mentoring Program! ✨

Last month, we celebrated this special milestone at our Mentoring Connections event, bringing together Old Collegians who have been part of the program over the past five years.

Since it began, more than 120 Old Collegians have participated in the program, building new relationships, sharing experiences and forming lasting friendships.

It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, reflect and celebrate the relationships and experiences that have grown through the program.

We look forward to seeing the Mentoring Program continue to grow and bring Old Collegians together for many years to come.

If you could give your Year 12 self one piece of advice, what would it be?

As MLC’s Class of 2026 celebrated their final day of school today, we’re inviting our Old Collegians to reflect on their own school days and share a little wisdom with this year’s graduates.

What do you wish you’d known back then?
