Official Funeral Notice
Subject: Passing of Late Oma Nath Bhandari
With deep sorrow and profound respect, the Bhutanese Community in Australia formally announces the passing of Late Oma Nath Bhandari, born in Basani, Dungkhak, Samtchi, Bhutan on 15 Jestha 2012 B.S. (1 January 1955).
Mr. Bhandari initially resettled in Brisbane, Australia in July 2010, having arrived from the Bhutanese Refugee Camp, Khudunabari, Nepal. In August 2022, he relocated to 8 Sunrise Way, Mickleham, VIC 3064, where he became a respected and esteemed member of the Bhutanese community in Melbourne.
He passed away peacefully on 6 November 2025 at Peter Mac Cancer Centre, Melbourne.
The funeral ceremony, conducted in accordance with Hindu rituals, will be held as follows:
