The Nationals are backing our local Scouts!

Today we announced a $100,000 commitment to repair and upgrade the 1st North Shepparton Scout Hall under an elected Liberal and Nationals Government.

The funding will help deliver much needed upgrades and give local Scouts a safer, more functional space to learn and enjoy new adventures.

The GV Health Foundation has been fighting for an Integrated Cancer Centre, and I’m proud that a Liberal and Nationals Government will deliver this important project.

Across the Shepparton District, the horticultural industry contributes $1.6 billion to the economy.

But right now, Queensland Fruit Fly is a major threat to our region’s fruit. Without ongoing investment in an area wide management program, growers and local businesses face damaged crops, lost income and reduced access to markets.

I’m fighting to deliver the investment needed to manage this pest and protect an industry that means so much to our region.

Throwback to when we announced our $95 million commitment to deliver GV Health’s Integrated Cancer Centre.

This is bigger than the Shepparton District. This infrastructure will serve more than 200,000 people across our region, helping more patients access cancer care closer to home.

Less travel, more time with loved ones and quality care when it matters most.

For too long, offenders keep getting bail and committing more crimes and the Shepparton District is paying the price.

The Liberal and Nationals have a clear plan - break bail, face jail.

We’ll also remove the exemption for under 18s who breach bail, so young offenders are held accountable.

Community safety comes first.

Local growers do an incredible job managing fruit fly on their farms, but they can’t do it alone. Unmanaged fruit fly in backyards and public spaces puts their hard work and farms at risk.

Farmers are calling for long-term funding to support the Goulburn Murray Valley Area Wide Management Program and reduce that risk across our community.

That’s why I’m fighting for secure, long-term funding to give the program certainty, back our growers and protect the industry our region relies on.
