This week, hundreds of gold ribbons are going out to Moranbah East State School and Moranbah State School as part of the annual Moranbah Miner's Memorial art display.
We are asking each child to write on their ribbon, be it their name, a drawing, a short message to our coal mine workers, or a short message to the families of the miners we have lost, letting them know that we will forever hold their loved ones safe in our hearts.
We have sent instructions and some info on what the Miners Memorial is all about, along with the ribbons, but we also ask that parents or carers also have a chat with your kids, letting them know the importance of the event, and what coal mining means to Moranbah, noting that not every family is directly involved in the industry.
We look forward to seeing the display come together for the service next Friday, and thank you for your help in creating it!

4RFM have registered with Moranbah Mechanical and Towing's Locals supporting Locals campaign. This is a fabulous campaign which results in real cash donations back to your local community groups. All you need to do is nominate the registered community group when you book in your vehicle or go to pay your invoice. FIVE percent of the amount is then passed on as a donation. (private invoices) How good is that!

The campaign is running until the end of the year - so if your community group hasn't registered - it's not too late.

And if you would like to support 4RFM when having work done on your vehicle - don't forget to let the MMT team know.

Thanks MMT!

📣 MMT AND TYREPOWER MORANBAH ARE PROUD TO LAUNCH OUR LOCALS SUPPORTING LOCALS CAMPAIGN

At Moranbah Mechanical & Towing, we’ve proudly supported local clubs, organisations and community events since 2013.

Now we’re giving local clubs and community organisations another way to raise funds simply by encouraging their members and supporters to support local.

STARTING IN SEPTEMBER WE WILL BE OFFERING 5% BACK TO YOUR CLUB

Every eligible private invoice can generate a 5% donation to your nominated registered club or community organisation.

You choose the club. We make the donation.

HOW IT WORKS

1️⃣ Your club registers with the MMT Locals Supporting Locals Campaign.

2️⃣ Your club promotes the campaign on its social media at least once each month.

3️⃣ Members nominate their club when booking or paying for an eligible service.

4️⃣ MMT/Tyrepower Moranbah donates 5% of the eligible invoice value directly back to that club.

✅ No extra cost to you — just an easy way to support your club!

Whether you’re booking:

🔧 Vehicle servicing
⚙️ Mechanical repairs
📋 Roadworthy inspections
❄️ Air conditioning service
🛞 Brake & suspension repairs
🚗 Tyres
🛻 Breakdown repairs

Your Service, Your Club, Your Community.

For those headed out, we have the Friday night raffles at the Moranbah Community Workers Club, and the Binda Park parkrun (bring your rain coat) 7am sharp Saturday morning! Our mates out at the Moranbah Motorcycle Riders Club Runs And Rides have their annual Poker Run (stands up 9am) Saturday, where they'll take in some sights around our beautiful region (and CQ) before heading back to their clubhouse for the afterparty!
