There is a event in Gorden tomorrow. It is another opportunity to reach out if you need fire planning tips.

Keeping your devices charged is an important part of staying up-to-date during the fire season.

📚 Recharge yourself at the library and now recharge your device.🔋

New device recharge stations are now available at both Ballan and Lerderderg Libraries.

Something many of our visitors have been asking for, these stations make it easy to charge your phone or device while you visit our libraries.

Pop in, plug in and power up. ⚡📱

Thank you to everyone who supported our Get Fire Ready event on Saturday.

I would especially like to thank our volunteers who yet again gave up doing their own fire prevention and other activities to spruce up our station and put everything in place for our visitors.

We had one couple who were interested in fire planning for their horses and we were able to share some great resources. Don't forget your pets and other domestic animals when planning.

If you missed our event head over to visit Gordon Fire Brigade next Saturday 24 October.

Are you planning what to do this coming weekend already? Make sure you drop in and visit our volunteers. We have lots of information to help everyone Get Fire Ready.

Saturday 17 October 10am -12pm at the Mt Egerton Fire Station.

Our 2 main daytime volunteers have been busy. Yesterday there was a shed fire near Ballan where we supplied water to a pumper. Today we were called to a single vehicle rollover at Bungal.

After assessing the vehicle, as there was no fire or fuel leaking we were not required. Someone from the vehicle rollover was transported by ambulance to hospital.

Training this morning included a visit to Mt Egerton Primary School. It is important that we keep up to date with the school's fire plan and make sure our newer members know what is involved and how to access water.
