🚗 Year 10 Students Take Part in the RYDA Program! 🚦

Our Year 10 students recently attended an incursion as part of the RYDA (Road Safety Education) Program, an engaging initiative designed to help young people make safer choices on the road.

Through interactive activities and important discussions, students explored road safety, responsible decision-making and the risks associated with driving and being a passenger.

These valuable lessons help equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe on the roads, both now and in the future.

A big thank you to the RYDA team for delivering this important learning experience to our students! 👏

🏆 STATE CHAMPIONS! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT! 🏆

Keilor Downs College is incredibly proud to congratulate Ruby and Lucas on their outstanding performances at the SSV State Championships! 💛💙

🥇 Ruby has achieved an incredible milestone, becoming the back-to-back SSV State Champion in Shot Put and the three-time consecutive SSV State Champion in Discus! To top it off, Ruby set a new SSV State Record in Discus with an incredible throw of 43.88m today! What an extraordinary achievement! 🤩

🥈 Lucas also delivered an outstanding performance, securing 2nd place in both Discus and Shot Put, while achieving personal bests in both events! A fantastic result and a testament to his dedication and hard work.

Congratulations to both Ruby and Lucas on representing Keilor Downs College with such excellence. Your achievements are something to be incredibly proud of, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish next! 👏

Congratulations to our Keilor Downs College Chess Team for proudly representing KDC at both the Northern Star Chess State Finals on Friday and the Chess Victoria State Finals on Monday!

Competing against some of the strongest players in the state, our talented team achieved an outstanding 7th place out of 50 schools, taking on students ranked among the top 4% in Victoria. 🏆

Beyond their impressive results, our students demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, resilience and respect throughout both competitions. They represented themselves and our College with pride, maturity and professionalism.

We are incredibly proud of their efforts, achievements and the way they upheld our College values throughout these events.
