Come join the crew! Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club is a community organisation run by volunteers.

Saving lives, building legends & keeping our Four Mile Beach safe since 1983! 🏝️💛❤️ From Nippers to seasoned lifesavers, we’re all about fun, beach & community spirit. The Port Douglas club currently has membership of 120+ made up of active volunteers who assist with beach patrol, through to junior members who are learning skills to become future lifesavers. The club holds regular weekly training sessions throughout our Sports/Patrolling season May - Nov, and attends North Queensland surf sports carnivals. Port Douglas SLSC certainly went for gold! 🥇 We’ll be leaving Mackay with quite the medal haul, bringing home plenty of gold, silver and bronze medals. 🏅

THAT'S A WRAP ON THE 2026 NORTH AUSTRALIAN SURF LIFE SAVING CHAMPIONSHIPS! ❤️💛

Day three is done and what a few days it has been! Our Port Douglas team has certainly brought home quite the haul for a small club! 🏅

A massive congratulations to all our competitors and today's results:

🥈 Elise – 2nd 1km Beach Run

We couldn't be prouder of our team and the effort, determination and sportsmanship shown throughout the championships!

A special congratulations to Emma and Elise on 1st place in the 100m Patient Tow, Doug and Dallas on 3rd place in the 100m Patient Tow, and Doug on another 3rd place in the 50m Brick Carry! 🥇🥉

What a massive two days of competition! Congratulations to all competitors, our age champions, those selected for the Junior State Team, and everyone who gave it their all out on the sand and in the water. You should all be incredibly proud! 👏

A HUGE thank you to all our water safety teams, officials, age managers and coordinators who helped make the carnival happen. Your time, effort and dedication do not go unnoticed!

Yesterday afternoon, our Northern Youth returned from the Gold Coast after an incredible week experiencing the southern side of Surf Life Saving! 🌊

During their time down south, the crew packed in so much — from IRB racing, Nippers, the Surfers Paradise markets and plenty more! 🛟🏄‍♂️☀️

It was an amazing opportunity for our young members to try new things, meet new people, experience different clubs and make memories that they’ll take home with them.

A massive thank you to our amazing chaperones, Hannah, Emily, Nathan, Dylan and Bridget for giving up their time and looking after the group throughout the week. ❤️

And another huge thank you to everyone who welcomed our Northern Youth, took them under their wing and helped make their Southern Experience so special. We truly appreciate you! 🫶
