We hope you've enjoyed our Dyslexia Awareness Month events at the library!
We have been wearing red all month to celebrate the strengths, creativity, and achievements of dyslexic individuals. It suits us, don't you think?

We've enjoyed the company of Red the Koala this month to help us celebrate. There's still some October left, so you've got time to say hi to Red before they head home again. See you soon!

We are excited to host author Maura Luxford at Wauchope Library on Monday the 2nd of November for a discussion of her latest memoir, One White Post at a Time.

Following the death of her eldest daughter, Hannah, aged 20, from melanoma, Maura founded the social enterprise ride4acure. Over the next five years, she undertook three extraordinary long-distance treks by bicycle and horses, raising awareness across five Australian states. Along the way, she shared Hannah’s story with more than 25,000 young people in rural and remote communities, raising over $150,000 for the Hannah Rose Melanoma Research Fund. Those journeys, and the extraordinary people she met along the way, became the inspiration for her memoirs.

Make sure to book in at the library website for your opportunity to join us for this illuminating discussion.
