🥐 That's a Wrap on the Valleys Business Breakfast! ☕

What a fantastic morning we had yesterday connecting with our local business community, with more than 40 guests representing a diverse range of industries, including legal, accounting, dental, retail, hospitality, finance and many more.

Attendees enjoyed a delicious breakfast catered by Flinders Food Company, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee, while taking the opportunity to network with fellow business owners, professionals and community organisations from across the region.

We were privileged to hear from Ali Paulett, Chair of Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North and accomplished businesswoman, who shared valuable insights on business growth, leadership and the importance of building strong regional connections.

The morning also featured an engaging and interactive workshop with digital expert Jasmin Ilic, who explored how businesses can navigate today's increasingly complex digital landscape through cyber security, risk management and digital transformation.

💡 Key takeaways from the morning:
✅ Get involved and connect with your local business community.
✅ Reach out to Regional Development Australia for support and guidance.
✅ You are not alone. Support is available, and we're here to help.
✅ Are businesses truly optimising their digital technologies?
✅ Understanding cyber security risks is critical, with practical case studies highlighting common security issues and how they can be avoided.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the conversations, ideas and connections that made the event such a success.

🌟 Highlighting our Heroes: Soul Lifestyle, Port Pirie 🌟

At Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North, we're proud to support local businesses with the skills, confidence and guidance they need to thrive.

One local success story is Jess from Soul Lifestyle in Port Pirie, who participated in our popular Visual Merchandising Workshop. Led by the highly regarded Sarah Davies from The Merchandiser, the workshop provided practical, hands-on strategies to enhance window displays, improve product placement and create engaging store layouts using existing stock and props.

These workshops were incredibly popular, equipping retailers with simple, cost-effective techniques that can make a real difference to their customer experience and sales.

This is just one of the many ways RDA Yorke and Mid North supports local businesses to grow and succeed.

Juggling cash flow, chasing customers, managing staff, and trying to do it all yourself? You're not alone.

Running a small business rarely leaves room to step back, plan ahead and focus on the bigger picture.

Eligible small businesses can access up to six hours of free, one-on-one business support to work through challenges, spot opportunities and build a stronger, more resilient business.

This program is an initiative of the Government of South Australia's Office for Small and Family Business, funded through the $73 million Drought Support Package.

Visit our website (www.yorkeandmidnorth.com.au) for more information or to register for a session.

Kept the structure and facts as they were, mainly tightened the opening line and smoothed the transitions so it reads less like a list of complaints and more like a direct, relatable hook.
