Last Thursday Schofields was called to an Animal Rescue. On arrival the tenants of the home said they could hear what sounds like a cat meowing in the wall for several days.
Using a Thermal Imaging Camera we could see a heat source inside the wall near ground level. We cut a small hole in the wall above it and a firefighter reached in and retrieved a 2 week old kitten.
We've found pregnant cats will sometimes get into a ceiling space to give birth and unfortunately some kittens will stray and fall down the wall cavity.
The tenants did not own a cat and didn't know where it came from so we took the kitten to Quakers Hill Veterinary Hospital and they will care for it until it is able to be adopted.
The firefighter that retrieved the kitten has already informed the Vet he is happy to adopt when it's ready.
