The news we received last week was indeed sad and I want to take the time to acknowledge the passing of our inaugural P-12 College Principal, Margaret Hoelter. Marg was indeed a passionate and well respected educator, who fought very hard in the early days of us becoming a college to get the very best facilities and programs for her students and staff. Marg was very learned and achieved so much across the span of her career, but we like to think that we held a special place in Marg's heart.
Even in retirement Marg had a keen interest in what was happening at the College and was often coming along to various functions, open days etc. to see what we were up to. Marg was also a very keen advocate of the Arts and generously sponsored an Annual Art Prize each year - we are going to miss having her present the award at Presentation Night this year.
On behalf of the College, I want to convey my condolences to her husband Clive and her children Kate & Cameron, and their families, on the loss of their loved wife/ mother and grandchildren. Marg was one of the best and we were blessed to have her shape us in the beginning.
