Grow Your Mind 🌱
Our Gadhu and Mudjingaal students have been putting their learning into action by exploring real-life scenarios connected to our Six Golden Rules. Through discussion, role-play, and reflection, students practised applying these important friendship and wellbeing skills in different situations.
By thinking about the choices they can make and reflecting on the impact their actions have on others, students are developing empathy, resilience, and positive relationship skills. πŸ’«

Today, our Burri Burri students focused on Friendship Golden Rule #1: You don't have to be friends with everyone, but we agree to be friendly to everyone.
Students explored what it means to be friendly and kind, discussing practical strategies for showing respect, including others, using kind words, and helping others feel welcome. It was wonderful to hear their thoughtful ideas about how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in our school community.❀️

⭐️ Our K–2 students became young programmers today, exploring coding! They learned how to sequence commands to make characters move, talk and interact, building the foundations of coding through creativity and problem-solving.
We can't wait to see the interactive stories they create and share later this term as they combine their writing and coding skills! πŸ‘€βœ¨

As part of our historical iCreate initiative, Year 6 students lead creative projects with younger students across the school, building leadership and inspiring creativity.

These beautiful handmade flowers are already blossoming as part of one student's project. We can't wait to see how this idea grows before being showcased at our annual Art Show! Aren't they incredible!πŸͺ·

Banjo was more than happy to sample the first prototype of the Burri Burri dog treats the students cooked yesterday! 🐾
Students have samples to take home and gather feedback from their own furry taste-testers. It's been a fantastic hands-on learning experience, combining creativity, product development, and real-world feedback.

We are excited to be participating in the Southern Stars Mass Dance this year! βπŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί
Our students have already started practising and are enthusiastically learning the choreography in preparation for this incredible event. We can't wait to see them take to the stage and be part of such an amazing production alongside students from across the region.✨

Today, we had the wonderful opportunity to showcase our school to Relieving Executive Director Megan Avery and our Director, Educational Leadership, Mandy Crocker.

Across all classrooms, students proudly shared key aspects of their entrepreneurial learning linked to this term’s concept of *Systems*. Students are identifying community needs and problems, then designing products, services, and business ideas that create meaningful solutions. We even got a live cooking demonstration from Burri Burri!

It was fantastic to highlight the engagement, creativity, and enjoyment our students demonstrate every day. Seeing the enthusiasm, collaboration, and innovative thinking across our school was a wonderful reflection of the rich learning taking place in every classroom.

Thank you, Megan and Mandy, for taking the time to visit and celebrate the incredible work of our students and staff. πŸ’«
