The Hospital works in partnership with the Sydney Children's Hospital to provide paediatric services.

Campbelltown Hospital provides networked public healthcare services with Camden Hospital for the local community of the Macarthur region including Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly. The services provided at Campbelltown and Camden Hospital include intensive care, cardiology, maternity, gynaecology, oncology, palliative care, respiratory and stroke, medicine, surgery, emergency medicine and aged care services. Campbelltown and Camden Hospital is part of South Western Sydney Local Health District who is responsible for all public healthcare facilities from Bankstown to Bowral.

We recently celebrated National Carers Week with "Navigating Care: A Series for Carers" - a special event dedicated to recognising the incredible contributions of carers in our community.

The day was filled with connection, support and gratitude, as carers, staff and service providers came together to share information, resources and stories. From learning about available supports to enjoying well-deserved massages and tokens of appreciation, carers had a chance to focus on their own wellbeing.

One attendee shared, "It was so nice to feel seen." Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to all carers for the vital role you play every day.

Earlier this month, it was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate 20 years of Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) and one year of publicly funded homebirth. The room was filled with those who have helped shape the service over the years, including our executives and leaders, past and present midwives, consumers and, perhaps most special of all, some of our very own MGP babies (who aren't quite babies anymore! 🥰).

We were also honoured to have Chief Midwife Donna Garland join us to mark this milestone and reflect on just how far the service has come.

Twenty years of continuity, connection, choice and woman-centred care, built through the dedication of midwives, the support of leaders and the trust of the women and families who continue to choose this model of care. 💜✨

Congratulations to the team behind the specialist multidisciplinary metabolic program delivered at Tharawal Aboriginal Medical Service for winning the Excellence in Aboriginal Health Award at our Quality Awards.

The program is improving health outcomes for Aboriginal adults living with severe obesity through culturally safe care in a convenient location. It's delivered in partnership between Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, South Western Sydney Metabolic Rehabilitation and Bariatric Program, Tharawal Aboriginal Medical Service, SWSLHD Aboriginal Chronic Care Team, South Western Sydney Primary Health Network and Western Sydney University.

Meet Dr Nalvin Chand, our friendly Senior Dental Officer at Campbelltown Hospital Dental Centre! Dr Chand has been with us since the Centre opened in 2022 and has also cared for patients at the Rosemeadow and Ingleburn clinics.

What does he enjoy most about his job? He loves the mix of clinical care, leadership, and mentoring. Dr Chand is always happy to support our junior clinicians and share his experience to help them grow in confidence and skills. He also enjoys being part of our team, working together to improve care and creating a positive space for both patients and staff.

And when he's not caring for patients? You'll find Dr Chand playing soccer in winter or gardening in summer!
