The official reopening of Camden Museum was celebrated recently with a special event and new exhibitions. Thank you to the Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, councillors, visitors, and Camden Historical Society committee and members for joining in the celebrations. Many thanks to Camden Council for their contributions, the renovations and repairs, and for providing care for the Museum collection during the works.
The new exhibition 'The Story of the Camden Museum' is on display in the Old Fire Station in Camden Library, until the end of June.

"Time after time… Camden’s iconic buildings and their changing stories..."
One of the featured buildings is Macaria - a building which still looks much the same as when it was built in about 1859, though it has been extended over the years. It has been a home, school, doctor's surgery, library, and council building. It was nearly lost in 1970, but thankfully was saved. It is now the home of the Alan Baker Art Gallery.
Come and see more of the story at the free exhibition in the Old Fire Station, 40 John Street Camden, until May 18.
This exhibition is presented by Camden Historical Society, Camden Area Family History Society, and Camden Library, as part of the Australian Heritage Festival
