A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful HSPS community for the beautiful luncheon prepared for our teachers today in celebration of World Teachers’ Day!
Our teachers feel incredibly blessed to be recognised, appreciated and so wonderfully spoilt by such a caring and supportive community. We are truly grateful for the time, thought, effort and love that went into making today so special for us all.
It takes a team to make a school great, and what an incredible team we have here at HSPS! From our dedicated staff to our wonderful families and community, it’s the collaboration, generosity and support we share that make our school such a special place to be.
Thank you for making us feel valued and celebrated.

What a spook-tacular day at Harrington Street Public School!
Our students certainly got into the Halloween spirit yesterday, dressing up in some frightfully fantastic costumes as part of the SRC's fundraising dress-up initiative! From creepy creatures to adorable characters, the creativity was boo-tiful!
A huge thank you to our wonderful students and families for getting involved and supporting the SRC.
It was a fang-tastic day filled with fun, laughter and a little bit of Halloween magic!

World Teachers’ Day 2026 ‘Shine a Light on Teachers’
Today, we shine a light on the incredible teachers of Harrington Street Public School — the dedicated, passionate and caring educators who inspire, support and empower our students every single day.
Beyond the classroom, our teachers nurture potential, build confidence, celebrate individuality and encourage every student to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve great things. Through their patience, kindness, encouragement and unwavering commitment, they help shape not only the learners of today, but the leaders of tomorrow.
We are incredibly proud of our teachers and the difference they make in the lives of our students and our school community.
To our wonderful teachers, thank you for being the light that guides, inspires and helps our students shine. Your impact is immeasurable, and your dedication does not go unnoticed.
Happy World Teachers’ Day! We celebrate you today and every day.

What's happening for Preschool Wattle 1?

The start of Term 4 has been shaped by the children's interests, ideas and requests to learn more about the world around them! We've been investigating bugs, exploring construction and testing out new equipment in our outdoor environment. This has provided plenty of opportunities for curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and discovery. Along the way, we've been incorporating literacy and numeracy into our everyday learning through playful experiences, hands-on investigations and creative craft activities. We've also added a touch of Halloween fun to our program this week. It is wonderful to see the children’s interests guiding the learning as they explore, experiment, share ideas and develop new skills through play.

Tomorrow is our SRC Halloween Dress Up!
$1 coin donation for all students dressing up.
Costumes should be fun and friendly rather than frightening, keeping in mind our younger students who may feel scared by overly scary masks, props or outfits.
They should also allow students to be able to participate safely in all school activities.

The winner of the Lolly Guessing Competition will also be announced tomorrow during Radio HSPS!

Can't wait to see what spook-tacular outfits we see!
