CHRISTMAS DAY AT HZAA!

For the third year running, we're open and our Christmas Day and table bookings are now open. The last two years, they've sold out. Fast.

This year it's seriously bigger and better. Our brand-new playground and Aquarium will be open for the kids to burn off the Christmas pudding, and stay cool!

$75 secures a table for 4 for the day
And it includes an animal encounter for 2 – a Christmas day memory you won't get anywhere else in Tasmania!

Bring your own Christmas lunch and utensils – pack the ham, the pav, the lot! And if you need a top-up, our HO HO HO Café will be open on the day.

Oh yes, at HZAA we exceed the highest standards of animal care, and that magic is in every nook and cranny of the zoo. Even the ball pit!

In go thousands of balls… whirr, whoosh, swish, squeak… and OUT they tumble, gleaming like freshly polished gobstoppers! It's pure Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, only cleaner.

I reckon we've got the greatest capybara exhibit in the world. 🌍

Heated Spa for the cold TAS mornings, lots of enrichment and a huge pool and waterfall, my favourite thing is to watch them dive in and do zoomies!
