It was another busy week for our 3-6 classes with some fantastic learning experiences inside the classroom, out in the playground, in the kitchen and up in the library 📚 📏

💡 "Give this to a teacher who..."

We asked some of our students to deliver some special notes of appreciation to teachers who make a difference in their lives each day.

While only a few moments made it into this video, these gestures represent EVERY single teacher across our school. Every day, our teachers bring patience, passion and belief into our classrooms, creating lightbulb moments and lighting the way for our students to thrive.

This World Teachers’ Day, we want to Shine a Light on Teachers across our entire school staff. Thank you for the endless care, dedication and guidance you bring to our community every single day.

FRIDAY FEATURE: World Teachers’ Day

We had 100’s of junior teachers across our school today as we celebrated AITSL World Teachers’ Day

This afternoon recognised the amazing work of our teachers with a special assembly and awards ceremony thanks to our world SLSOs.

We’re lucky to have the best team here at TPS

Today 120 stage 1 students walked from school to the Rutherford Community Centre for a special author talk from Kate and Jol.

Students were very safe and respectful walking in the neighbourhood and across the streets.

Kate and Jol read just a few of their stories and had some fun with the students. We heard all about Frog Squad, the Bin Chickens and we even got to be the first students in the country to have their brand-new book Scary, Scary Cassowary read aloud to them.

After the talk, we walked back to school and were ready for lunch.

Thanks Maitland Libraries for funding this amazing event and to the S1 teachers and SLSO’s for making this a great event.
