DO NOT FORGET!!!!

Our Get Fire Ready/ Open weekend is this weekend!

Our volunteers have been working hard to get everything ready for you and your family to pop on down either Saturday or Sunday and say Gday!

Have a crack at using the fire hose for Big and small kids

Have a tour of our facilities and get to see all our trucks and equipment up close!

Also a great chance to start the conversation of what can you do to help prepare for summer.

Have you got a fire plan?

Free green waste disposal 12-25 October!

It’s time to tidy up around the yard before the Fire Danger Period begins.

To help residents prepare, Corangamite Shire Council is offering free green waste disposal at local transfer stations and Naroghid Landfill from Monday 12 October until Sunday 25 October.

You can dispose of leaves, branches, long grass and other organic materials.

This is available to Corangamite Shire residential households only – no commercial loads.

In addition to this, we’re offering weekly green organics bin collections from now until Friday 1 January.

This initiative helps reduce potential fire fuel around homes and supports a safer community.

To find your nearest location and its opening hours, download the Corangamite Binfo app or visit www.corangamite.vic.gov.au/transferstations
