Last week our CRC Coordinator, Kyla, attended the 2026 DPIRD CRC Conference! 🎉

The event brought together more than 230 CRC staff and committee members, with almost all 103 CRCs represented. It was a fantastic opportunity for networking, collaboration and celebrating the incredible work happening across the state.

A few fun highlights from the CRC Program Year in Review 2025–2026:
▪️ WA has more CRCs than Hungry Jack’s or KFC locations, and almost as many as McDonald’s!
▪️ 60,022 people connected to government information and services
▪️ 14,006 community capacity‑building activities were delivered

It was wonderful meeting CRC teams from right across WA who helped make the conference such a vibrant and inspiring event. We’ve tagged the CRCs featured in our photos, but we’re grateful to all CRCs who made the conference so special! 💛

The event provided a fun and engaging way to develop digital skills while enjoying lunch and connecting with fellow community members. 📱🤖

We were delighted with the strong attendance and the positive feedback received from participants throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many community members embracing new technology, learning new skills and building confidence online in a supportive environment.

A special thank you to Toodyay Library for hosting the event and helping create such a welcoming space for our participants. 📚💙

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Shane from Bullsbrook IT Support for sharing his time, expertise and support throughout the event. 🌭🌳Rangers BBQ at Duidgee Park 🛝🐶

On the 15th of October, we hosted a wonderful community BBQ at Duidgee Park alongside local Rangers Joe and Summer.

The event gave community members the opportunity to meet their local Rangers, ask any questions they had, and learn more about the important work they do within our community. It was fantastic to see residents engaging in conversations, sharing stories, and enjoying a free BBQ in the beautiful outdoor setting. ☀️

A big thank you to Joe and Summer for generously sharing their time and knowledge, and to everyone who came along and made the event such a success.
We look forward to seeing you at our next community event! 🌭
