It has been a rainy term, with many athletics lessons taking place in the hall. However, this has not stopped students from developing their skills and practising a range of athletics events in preparation for the HRSS Years 4–6 Athletics Carnival.
The main carnival will be held on Friday, 12 June (Week 😎, where students will rotate around the oval in their age groups, earning points for their Houses - Wongawallan, Kurrungal, and Guanaba. With House pride on the line, only one team will claim victory!
Parents and caregivers are warmly invited to attend and cheer on the students throughout the day.
Please note that the 200m and 800m events (for students who nominate themselves) and the High Jump Championships (for selected students) will be held the day prior to the carnival.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mr McCracken ([email protected]).

Flu season is here, and keeping kids healthy helps them stay engaged in learning. Simple steps like handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when unwell can make a big difference. If your child is sick, please contact the school so we can work together to keep them on track. https://education.qld.gov.au/initiatives-and-strategies/initiatives/every-day-counts/
