Welcome to the Booze Bus Weekly Round Up covering the 7th of September through to the 13th of September.

Last week the buses again deployed to locations around Melbourne and Geelong. They also deployed to Bendigo for four days, and assisted Highway and Uniform units with Operation Funnel Web in the Kingston PSA.

A total of 47 Drink Driving offences were detected in the 7 day period, along with 5 Drug Driving offences.

Operation Funnel Web in Kingston accounted for 19 of the drink driving offences, Wyndham had 5, Whittlesea had 4, and Bendigo had 3.

Of the 47 alcohol readings, a total 14 readings were double the legal limit or higher, with the highest readings being 0.149 in Lalor, and 0.132 in Melbourne.

The cost of drink driving is more than just your licence. There are fines imposed, interlock conditions, and the three year Zero Alcohol condition. Please think twice before choosing to drive a motor vehicle after you have had a few drinks.
