Bow Valley Regional Housing (BVRH) is a Housing Management Body (HMB) for the Government of Alberta. The Provincial Government created HMBs to serve as operators and administrators of provincially-owned social housing facilities. The Province owns a large portfolio of these facilities through the Alberta Social Housing Corporation (ASHC), serving many needy and vulnerable Albertans. We offer community family housing, independent seniors apartments, independent seniors lodges and rent supplement programs.

The first snowfall can catch people off guard and result in injuries from slips and falls. ❄️

Help prevent injuries by ensuring walkways and surfaces are clear of snow and ice. You can also put on your “winter feet” by using footwear that is designed for winter conditions.

Today is World Gratitude Day.
In the Bow Valley, there is a lot to be thankful for: neighbours who look out for one another, staff and volunteers who keep our communities running, and the people who make this mountain region home.

At BVRH, we are grateful for our residents, our partners, our member municipalities, and everyone who helps us provide caring, affordable housing for seniors and families across the region. If you have a moment today, thank someone who makes your community stronger.

Today is the International Day of Democracy.

Democracy depends on people being able to take part in the life of their community: to speak, to listen, to vote, and to help shape the places they call home. In the Bow Valley region, that work happens every day — in municipal councils, community meetings, volunteer groups, and conversations between neighbours.

BVRH is a Housing Management Body created through cooperation among the Province of Alberta and our member municipalities. That regional partnership is one example of local democracy in action: communities working together to meet a shared need.

This day is a reminder to stay informed, stay involved, and keep making space for every voice in our region.
