Using real World War II artifacts, the Grade 6 students move past abstract dates and connect directly with human history. Tactile, age-appropriate primary sources make abstract concepts—like rationing, home-front shifts, and soldier life—tangible and memorable.

YIELD Program at Fox Creek School!

Today, our Grade 9–12 students participated in the Youth Initiatives & Education in Lifestyles & Driving (YIELD) program.

A big thank you to Gord Buck, President of the YIELD Association and retired RCMP constable, for sharing his knowledge and experience with our students.

Through interactive demonstrations, students learned about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving, speeding, and not wearing seatbelts. The program encourages students to make safe and responsible choices on the road.

We also had some fun with our younger students today! Constable Dorsey brought two police vehicles for our Grade 1–3 students to paint! What a fun and memorable experience for them!

Thank you to the YIELD Association and Constable Dorsey for spending the day with our students!
