Thanks to the 40 or so people who came out to celebrate the last day of school this past Tuesday! Was a great night of games, hot dogs, and meeting our neighbours. And thank you to Rick Murray for organizing, Jasmin Greavett, Dallal Olver, and Beverly Jean for brining in sponsors/supporters, and Terri Lynn for helping with setup/take down.

And last but not least, a big thanks to the organizations that made it possible! Thank you to Safeway Canada and Sobeys for providing food and supplies for the BBQ, the Patterson Neighbourhood Association for lending us lawn games, and to Fraction Energy Services Ltd. for bringing out their community BBQ! Made for a great night!

Recreation is about more than activities. It's about community.

From events and programs to parks, playgrounds and gathering spaces, recreation helps bring people together and create connections that make Grande Prairie feel like home.
This week, we're celebrating the places where friendships are built, neighbours connect and community happens.

📸 This week's photo contest theme is Connect & Belong. Share a photo of a place, activity or moment that helps you feel connected to your community. Each photo shared earns one entry for a chance to win a one-month Eastlink Centre membership.

Tag someone you enjoy spending time with in Grande Prairie!

Submit your photo here: https://ow.ly/8yAC50Z7o95

The prize draw will take place on June 30, 2026.
