This Workplace Wednesday we want to celebrate a placement partner in the aquatics and pet care industry. Our student had the opportunity to explore the world of animal care and couldn't resist making a feathered friend along the way.

We'd say this placement opportunity is a pretty 'tweet' experience. Thank you to Finaddicts for creating a welcoming environment where learning can take flight!

🔨 This student is really raising the bar... and the scaffold!

As part of a Carpentry elective course, this student worked with a classmate to build a scaffold while practicing essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, safety awareness, and problem-solving.

Through inclusive, hands-on learning experiences, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their strengths, contribute meaningfully, and develop practical skills that support their personal and career goals.

We're proud to see our students reaching new heights and building confidence with every project! 👷

🧚‍♀️🌿 What a magical creation!

As part of her Early Childhood Education elective course, this student designed and built a fairy garden using natural materials. Her creativity, attention to detail, and thoughtful design truly stand out.

We're so proud of the imagination and effort she put into this project. Great work! ✨👏

💅 Practice Makes Progress! 💅

A CICE student enrolled in a Nail Care Techniques elective used their tutoring time to practice the three-stroke nail painting method. This hands-on learning opportunity helped build confidence, precision, and technique while developing valuable skills in the beauty and personal care field.

Taking a seat until Tuesday!

This student found the perfect rock to sit and relax on during our conservation area field trip, and now it's everyone else's turn!

A reminder that students do not have classes, tutoring, homework support, or placement activities on Monday, October 12.

Enjoy the break, get some rest, and we'll see you back next week ready for more learning, skill-building, and fun!

At CICE, learning goes beyond the classroom! Our students have many opportunities for hands-on learning and skill-building, helping them develop practical skills they can use in the workplace and everyday life.

This week, students taking Carpentry elective courses were spotted around campus with tape measures in hand, putting their math and problem-solving skills to the test.

From teamwork and communication to critical thinking and workplace readiness, every activity helps our students grow. We’d say they’re really going the extra yard in their learning!
