There are a few tickets left for Paint & Sip🎨🍷

Offered November 8 and 22, 2026 | 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Join us for a cozy indoor paint and sip at the Leacock Museum! Our paint instructor, M. Nowick, will guide participants through basic colour theory and techniques for composing a still painting, using historic artifacts as the subject! The focus will be on creative expression for completing your own painting. Sip on a glass of w**e or a non-alcoholic seasonal drink to add to your autumnal experience.

Space is very limited for these workshops. All materials provided; no experience required.

Happy Halloween from the Leacock Museum🎃

Did you know the tradition of carving Jack-o’-lanterns originated in Ireland, using turnips instead of pumpkins? It is allegedly based on a legend about a man named Stingy Jack who repeatedly trapped the Devil and only let him go on the condition that Jack would never go to Hell.

We hope everyone has a spooky and safe Halloween👻

"His name, Her Genius" opens November 14, 2026 at the Leacock Museum.

For generations, Western society held the misconception that a woman’s place was confined to the home. Documented inventions, artwork and literature highlight the work of “great men” with ease, while their female counterparts were left behind, their voices silenced, and their work unaccounted for. This exhibit will explore some of these women and their stories.
