Celebrating 5 years of impact. 🇨🇦
The day we’ve been waiting for is almost here.
On May 28, at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, we will proudly commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Veterans’ House – the Andy Carswell Building. A milestone that reflects the power of community, compassion, and collective action.
This special evening will recognize the people, leaders, partners, and organizations who believed in our mission from the very beginning and helped transform an idea into a life-changing success story for Veterans at risk of homelessness.
Our sincere appreciation goes to every donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who continues to empower our frontline team as they work tirelessly to connect Veterans and residents in our building with the housing, care, and resources they need.
We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone and continue the important work ahead.

Veterans' House Canada will be at .
And we'll be asking a direct question of the industry leaders and corporate decision-makers we meet:
What does your commitment to those who served actually look like?
If your organization is attending and wants to explore what a corporate or defence-sector partnership looks like, we'd like to meet you.
Housing is the starting point for everything else. Let's build it together.

A very special weekend at the Andy Carswell Building in Ottawa.
Our sincere appreciation to Riders for Veterans and Battlefield Barbecue for helping kick off this year’s Annual Gardening and Planting Season.
For the past three years, Riders for Veterans has continued to grow its support for the Andy Carswell Building, championing our vision and advocating for Veterans at risk of or experiencing homelessness. This year, they generously provided seedlings, gardening materials, and hands-on support alongside our residents.
Community initiatives like this go far beyond gardening. Horticulture therapy plays an important role in supporting mental wellness by creating opportunities for connection, routine, purpose, and healing through nature and shared activity.
And of course, nothing motivates a day of gardening quite like the aroma of an incredible barbecue.
Hats off to Battlefield Barbecue, led by Johnathan and his incredible family 👏👏
It was amazing to see the Bogline Pit fire up and the aroma of barbecue fill the air throughout the Wateridge community.
Through every spice purchase and new product launch this year, Battlefield Barbecue continues to lead in impactful ways within the Veteran community, support that truly cannot be overstated.
Weekends like this remind us how powerful community partnerships can be in supporting Veterans and strengthening the communities around them.

A little Drake energy, but a real issue.
In Toronto, homelessness is rising and affecting thousands of people across the city. Ignoring it won’t make it go away. Supporting real housing solutions is how we create change.
Because no one should be left without a place to call home.

15,000+. That's how many people were experiencing homelessness in Toronto in 2024 alone, and the number keeps climbing.
Veteran homelessness sits at the heart of this crisis. Those who gave years of their lives in service to Canada are now facing housing unaffordability, mental health barriers, and a transition system that too often leaves them behind.
Veterans House Canada is on the ground, working towards providing more permanent, affordable housing for veterans experiencing homelessness. But urgency requires resources and a community response.
How to get involved:
Join our Campaign Committee and help shape the solution
Make a donation that goes directly toward veteran housing
The time to act is now.
