🍂 October & November TAPS Calendars Are Here! 💛

We have lots of great things coming up with TAPS! Here are a few reminders and exciting updates:

♨️ October 28 – Nakusp Hot Springs Trip
We have ONE spot left for someone in the New Denver, Silverton or Hills area! The registration deadline is this Thursday. Transportation, admission and pre-made lunch are all covered! Don't miss out on this wonderful day trip!

📋 Week 1 – Pre-Registration Required
Please remember that Week 1 requires pre-registration through our Community Connector. The contact number is listed on the calendar.

🎨 Week 4 – Workshops, Outings & Special Activities
You can register for Week 4 by attending any other TAPS week. Keep an eye out for our latest posts below for more details about November's Week 4 activities! 😊

💪 Week 2 - TAPS Fitness in November!
We're excited to kick off fitness sessions with Chair Yoga at New Denver's Knox Hall and Strength Training with Florrie at Passmore Lodge! You'll also receive a frozen meal to take home after your session. Slocan's will start in December with Florrie at Slocan Legion.

Week 2 & 3 are OPEN and drop-ins are welcome! No commitment neccessary!

If you have not registered for TAPS before, you will need to when you arrive. It will consist of an intake and waiver 📝

Please keep in mind that space at Passmore Lodge is limited, so please be mindful if you're not from this area.

We look forward to seeing everyone this fall! 🍁💛

✨ Hey folks in Winlaw & South Slocan Area ✨

We have 4 spots available for a special stained-glass workshop with Lori Steele of Dragonfly Ceramics, sponsored by the TAPS program! 💛

And the best part? All costs, transportation and lunch are covered! 🥰 This is a wonderful opportunity to get out, connect with others, try something creative and enjoy a special day together.

🌿 How can you enter the draw?

To be eligible, you must:

Be 65 years or older

Be experiencing social isolation and in need of connection

Be unable to comfortably afford this opportunity otherwise

Be available for the full day on Wednesday, November 26th

Attend a TAPS event and register by Thursday, November 12, at 4 p.m.

Haven't registered for TAPS before? No problem! We'll provide a one-time intake and waiver for you to complete.

You can attend whichever TAPS event works best for you! Keep in mind Week 1 requires pre-registration through our Community Connector, while Weeks 2 and 3 are open for drop-ins. See TAPS calendars on our Page for your reference to your area.

🎉 Stained-glass workshop winners will be contacted Friday, November 13!

❤️ There's another opportunity, too!

After the stained-glass draw, we'll hold a separate draw for 5 transportation spots and 10 meal spots (10 spots total) to enjoy a warm, delicious lunch prepared by our TAPS Program cook at Passmore Hall.

Those selected will also be contacted directly. So, even if you aren't selected for the stained-glass workshop, you could still join us for lunch, good food and great company! 🥰

Please let us know if you do NOT wish to be entered into a specific draw. The deadline for both opportunities is November 13.

We'd love to see more folks from the south-end of the valley and the surrounding area take advantage of these opportunities to connect, create and enjoy some time together!

We hope to see you at TAPS!
