With exams on the horizon, and the year coming to a wrap, come take a break to reconnect with your mentees, mentors, and friends. Food and drinks will be provided as we watch Chang’s “This is Not a Movie” documenting Beirut-based foreign correspondent Robert Fisk’s life, philosophy, and approach to journalism through some of the world’s most catastrophic conflicts. Drawing from archival material, first-hand experiences, and contemporary travel, Fisk re-explores some of his most prominent observations from the Lebanese civil war, the Soviet-Afghan War, the Iran–Iraq War, the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and the Syrian Civil War.

Location: UC163
Time: 7:30 PM (movie is around an hour and a half)
