🏺 We are officially two weeks into our exclusive Clay Circles 🏺
Β
Common Ground ceramics program at the Gardiner MuseumπŸ›οΈ, and the creativity is already flowing! It has been incredibly inspiring to watch our cohort of young adults connect and dive right into essential hand-building techniques.πŸ‘

After gathering around for detailed instructor demonstrations, participants got their hands dirty preparing clay, pressing beautiful, intricate leaf textures into slabsπŸƒ, and sculpting unique, wavy-edged bowls on banding wheels.Β

Beyond the amazing art taking shape, it is wonderful to see this community space come alive as everyone shares tools and supports each other’s artistic journeys.Β πŸ€πŸ’›

We cannot wait to see how these early pieces evolve as we work toward mastering the glazing process and preparing for our professional summer exhibition this August!🎨

A wonderful Eid Al Adha drop-in filled with learning, laughter, and community✨

Last Friday, May 29th, we hosted an amazing drop-in session to celebrate Eid Al Adha!πŸŒ™πŸ•Œ

The youth had a fantastic time enjoying free Arabic sweets and group board games, as well as an inspiring workshop led by ACCT’s Settlement Counsellor, Sevan, on the importance of early career and future planning, making the evening both meaningful and engaging. The celebration was further enriched by a heartfelt music session led by our volunteer Rammah, bringing everyone together in song and joy 🎢

A huge thank you to everyone who made this night so special! πŸŽ‰
