What a beautiful day to come together and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day!
We want to send a huge thank you to the incredible staff at Britannia Community Services Centre. Your hard work, dedication, and all the love you put into this event did not go unnoticed. Our hands go up to each and every one of you. Another big thank you to all the partners involved, Vancouver Aboriginal Child & Family Services Society (VACFSS), Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, Sage Nation Society, Slaxin Lelum, and Reach Community Health Centre. Thank you to our host Laura Lewis, along with the amazing performances that brought so much talent, creativity, and community spirit together.
A special thank you as well to the Strathcona CPC, the VPD Indigenous Cadets and VACPC volunteers for coming out and supporting the National Indigenous Peoples Day event at Grandview Park today. We are so grateful for your time, energy, and willingness to volunteer and help make the day such a success.
Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day, everyone!

And that’s a wrap on the 3rd Annual Auntie Gala. What a beautiful event to be part of. Our hands go up to all the wonderful aunties who were honoured today. It was an honour to witness the beautiful words shared by your families and friends about each of you.
Thank you to all the organizers and support teams who helped make today’s beautiful Gala possible, including Madelaine McCallum, Len Pierre Consulting, Dusty Yurkin, IRSSS, M’Girl, and our MC for the evening, Bryant Doradea.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the aunties and honour our loved ones in the spirit world. More pictures to come later on. Until next year!

We would like to acknowledge and recognize the staff of MVAEC without your hard work and dedication, this event would not have been possible. Our hands go up to you all. It was an honour to attend and be part of your beautiful event.
We would also like to thank the Grandview-Woodland CPC for coming out and supporting the 42nd Annual Mother’s Day Powwow. We truly appreciate you volunteering your time today.

Yesterday, VACPC & friends attended the National Day of Awareness for MMIWG2S+ at Grandview Park.
We stood in solidarity to honor and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people, and to amplify the ongoing calls for justice, visibility, and systemic change.
Thank you to the IWRS, the partnering organizations, the families and the community members who created space for reflection, learning, and collective strength.
